Biography
My name is Michelle Bumgarner and I am from Milton, WV. I graduated from Cabell Midland High school in 2005. I am now an undergraduate senior in the Communication Disorders program at Marshall University. When I was in elementary school I decided that I wanted to become a Speech-Language Pathologist, I just did not know what it was called yet. I was able to work in a deaf preschool that was in my elementary school, and fell in love with sign language. I knew that I wanted to help other people be able to express themselves in any way possible, because I could see how much language ment to those children. I also just returned from a mission trip to Jamaica where I worked a a deaf school. Here I did therapy with some of the children that wanted to learn how to speak, and this has given me an intrest in working with children that have hearing impairments. I am excited about graduating college, in May 2009, and I plan to attend Graduate school to get my Masters and become a Speech-Language Pathologist.
